India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has executed the Share Transfer Agreements (STA) for transfer of 51% equity stake in Madhya Pradesh Ashok Hotel Corporation (MPAHC) for a consideration of Rs 125.9 million and 51% equity stake in Assam Ashok Hotel Corporation (AAHC) for a consideration of Rs 21.4 million.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 97.85% to 2,990 compared with 22-day average volume of 139,089.

ITDC has been the prime mover in the progressive development, promotion and expansion of tourism in the country. The company is running hotels, restaurants at various places for tourists, besides providing transport facilities.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.65, or 0.68%, to trade at Rs 541.25. The total volume of shares traded was 2,990 at the BSE (9.43 a.m., Friday).
