FMCG major ITC announced on Wednesday that Russell Credit, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has acquired 100% equity share capital of Rs 48.9 million of Wills Corporation (Wills), another wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Consequently, Wills has ceased to be a direct subsidiary of the company with effect from Sept. 07, 2015.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 42.33% to 3,815,346 compared with 22-day average volume of 6,616,064.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.85, or 0.27%, to trade at Rs 315.05. The total volume of shares traded was 130,529 at the BSE (2.07 p.m., Thursday).
