Hindustan Unilever, one of the leading FMCG firms, said the Chandigarh bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved its merger with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.
Earlier, on Sep 24, 2019 the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench sanctioned the aforesaid scheme, further it was subject to sanction of scheme by the Chandigarh Bench.
''The effective date of the scheme will be communicated upon being finalized by both companies, in accordance with the procedure,'' said the company in a regulatory filling.
Shares of HUL gained Rs 6.95, or 0.31%, to settle at Rs 2,247.90. The total volume of shares traded was 61,938 at the BSE (Thursday).
