Hindustan Copper has signed MoU with MOIL on April 22, 2018. In terms of the MoU, MOIL will procure its requirement of Silica Sand from HCL's unit located at Malanjkhand, Dist. Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. High grade Silica Sand is outcome of the beneficiation of copper ore tails, a waste generated during copper beneficiation process at Malanjkhand.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Apr. 23, 2018, rising 15.06% compared with the Sensex's 5.69% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 11.17% as against 3.76% fall in the Sensex.
Shares of the company declined Rs 2, or 2.61%, to trade at Rs 74.60. The total volume of shares traded was 106,048 at the BSE (9.49 a.m., Tuesday).
