Coal India, an Indian state-controlled coal mining company, has achieved 51.01 million tonnes of coal production for February 2016, which is 98% of target production of 52.01 million tonnes.
For April-February period, the company achieved 477.31 million tonnes of coal production, which is 97% of target production of 491.27 million tonnes.
The company and its subsidiaries achieved actual offtake of 45.53 million tonnes in February 2016, which was 97% of the target offtake of 47.13 million tonnes.
Similarly, for April-February period, the company achieved 483.14 million tonnes of offtake, which is 97% of target offtake of 497.62 million tonnes.
Shares of the company gained Rs 6.5, or 2.09%, to settle at Rs 317.70. The total volume of shares traded was 323,022 at the BSE (Tuesday).
