Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 51% in sales in May 2018. The company sold 13,659 units as against 9,075 units sold in the same period of last year.
Ashok Leyland experienced a robust growth of 70% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicles products segment to 10,421 units in May 2018, the company said.
The company's large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 10% to 3,238 units.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.3, or 1.55%, to trade at Rs 150.60. The total volume of shares traded was 331,281 at the BSE (11.16 a.m., Friday).
