Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 28% in sales in June 2018. The company sold 15,791 units as against 12,333 units sold in the same period of last year.
 
Ashok Leyland experienced a robust growth of 22% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicles products segment to 11,257 units in June 2018, the company said.

The company's large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 45% to 4,534 units.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 1.36%, to trade at Rs 127.15. The total volume of shares traded was 790,791 at the BSE (11.46 a.m., Monday).
