Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 17% in sales in October 2018. The company sold 15,149 units as against 12,944 units sold in the same period of last year.
Ashok Leyland experienced a robust growth of 7% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicles products segment to 9,797 units in October 2018, the company said.
The company's large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 41% to 5,352 units.
Shares of the company declined Rs 1, or 0.87%, to trade at Rs 113.70. The total volume of shares traded was 975,125 at the BSE (11.01 a.m., Thursday).
