Siemens announced a substantial drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 49.83% to Rs 2,191.33 million from Rs 4,367.85 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose marginally 2.64% to Rs 33,402.32 million, compared with Rs 32,542 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 8.43 percent as compared to 6.80 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 2,816.70 million, compared with Rs 2213.06 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 6.00, registering 50.00% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 12.25, or 1.01%, to settle at Rs 1,229.50. The total volume of shares traded was 30,217 at the BSE (Friday).
