Power Grid Corporation Of India said a steady growth in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 17.93% to Rs 12,289.10 million from Rs 10,420.40 million in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter rose 18.16% to Rs 43,536.20 million, compared with Rs 36,846 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 2.35, registering 6.82% growth over previous year period.
