NLC India announced a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 37.11% to Rs 2,307.50 million from Rs 3,669.00 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose marginally 0.42% to Rs 19,741.00 million, compared with Rs 19,658 million for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 1.38, registering 36.99% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.5, or 1.97%, to settle at Rs 74.75. The total volume of shares traded was 8,096 at the BSE (Monday).
