Hindustan Unilever (HUL), one of the leading FMCG firms, announced a small rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 9.80% to Rs 11,739 million from Rs 10,691.60 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose marginally 3.62% to Rs 81,281.80 million, compared with Rs 78,445 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 20.13 percent as compared to 19.27 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 16,358.90 million, compared with Rs 15120.1 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.42, registering 9.72% growth over previous year period.
