Graphite India announced a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2016. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 30.96% to Rs 186.10 million from Rs 142.10 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 15.97% to Rs 3,492.70 million, compared with Rs 4,156.50 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 92.05 percent as compared to 86.85 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 3,215.00 million, compared with Rs 3610 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.96, registering 4.95% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 2.21%, to settle at Rs 78.75. The total volume of shares traded was 14,827 at the BSE (Thursday).
