Base metal prices settle lower in global markets

Industrial metal prices settled lower in the global markets on Wednesday. Aluminim dropped the most with fall of 1.24 percent followed by Nickel (1 percent), and Copper (0.41 percent) at the London Metal Exchange(LME). On the other hand, Zinc gained with the rise of 0.72 percent followed by Lead (0.14 percent).

Copper prices lost $23.50 or 0.41 percent to settle at $5,650.00 per MT at the London Metal Exchange (LME). Aluminium prices lost $23.50 or 1.24 percent to close at $1,865.50 per MT. Zinc prices gained $18.50 or 0.72 percent to close at $2,579.50 per MT.

Nickel prices declined $90.00 or 1 percent to close at $8,890.00 per MT. Lead prices gained $3.00 or 0.14 percent to close at $2,121.00 per MT. Tin prices declined $50.00 or 0.25 percent to close at $19,725.00 per MT.
