Base metal prices settle lower in global markets

Industrial metal prices settled lower in the global markets on Wednesday. Nickel dropped the most with fall of 1.53 percent followed by Zinc (1.4 percent), Copper (0.93 percent), and Tin (0.49 percent) at the London Metal Exchange(LME). On the other hand, Lead was the only gainer with the rise of 1.53 percent.

Copper prices declined $53.50 or 0.93 percent to settle at $5,712.00 per MT at the London Metal Exchange (LME). Aluminium prices fell $8.00 or 0.42 percent to close at $1,910.00 per MT. Zinc prices lost $40.00 or 1.4 percent to close at $2,817.50 per MT.

Nickel prices lost $155.00 or 1.53 percent to close at $9,950.00 per MT. Lead prices went up $35.00 or 1.53 percent to close at $2,319.00 per MT. Tin prices declined $100.00 or 0.49 percent to close at $20,475.00 per MT.
