Torrent Power witnessed a rise in share price on Tuesday after the company has entered into Renewal and Amendment Agreement to the Distribution Franchise Agreement (DFA) with MSEDCL for distribution of power in Bhiwandi Circle for a further period of 10 years with effect from January 26, 2017.

Shares of Torrent Power are trading at Rs 179.00, up Rs 4.55, or 2.61% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 9:42 a.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 179.50 and low of Rs 177.30. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 19,238.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 79.77% to 114,846 compared with 22-day average volume of 567,614.
