Tech Mahindra gained on Thursday after the company announced the inauguration of the new IT block in the city, adding to the existing block that houses 500 associates. The total capacity of the Bhubaneswar facility with the addition of new building will be 1111 seats.
"Tech Mahindra is present in Odisha since 1997 and we are over-whelmed to see the abundance of talent here. Our journey from being 25 associates in 1997 to 600 strong workforce has been eventful, and I'm thankful to the government of Odisha for its continued support," said CP Gurnani, MD & CEO, Tech Mahindra.
Shares of the company gained Rs 43.4, or 1.69%, to trade at Rs 2,613.65. The total volume of shares traded was 26,577 at the BSE (2.43 p.m., Thursday).
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 2,629.05 and low of Rs 2,560. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 26,577.
