Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL), a producer of automobile wheel rims, to announce bagging of Exports order of Steel wheels form European aftermarket.

Total order covers supplies of approx. 18,000 wheels in Aug 2018 from SSWL's Chennai.

This order further augments SSWL's strong presence in the competitive European aftermarket for Steel wheels. We expect repeat orders from these customers in future.  

On July 16, SSWL announced that the company expects to achieve highest ever quarterly sales in Q2 with the help of truck and tractor segment growth. The company expects to achieve sales volume of 42.75 lacs during Q2 FY18-19 as against 37.91 lacs in Q2 FY17-18.

The order book for both truck plants is good with exports also picking up steadily going ahead.

The Chennai car line is also now running at 90% utilization, the highest ever, with the help of strong domestic car segment participation.

The growth is coming from all round the corners due to increased market share and wider presence in export markets.

Shares of the company gained Rs 12.75, or 1.03%, to trade at Rs 1,245.45. The total volume of shares traded was 10 at the BSE (9.59 a.m., Tuesday).
