Siemens climbs after getting order from Power Grid

Siemens, a leading technology enabled solutions provider, witnessed a rise in share price on Wednesday after it announced that it will be supplying power transmission technology to Power Grid Kala Amb Transmission, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India.

The equipment to be supplied is for the upcoming 400/220kV GIS substation at Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh and is the first GIS station with FSC awarded in India under the build, own, operate and Maintain (BOOM) segment.

Shares of the company  are trading at Rs 903.10, up Rs 15.35, or 1.73%  at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 9:58 a.m. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 915.30 and low of Rs 891.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 14,217.
