MRF, a major tyre manufacturing company, witnessed a rise in share price on Monday after the company disclosed a sharp rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 94.08% to Rs 4,468.10 million from Rs 2,302.20 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 6.05% to Rs 35,389.50 million, compared with Rs 33,370 million for the prior year period.
Shares of MRF are trading at Rs 39,950, up Rs 1422.15, or 3.69% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 2:39 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 40,100 and low of Rs 38,000.10. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 7,051.
