Kansai Nerolac Paints (KNPL), leader in industrial and automotive paint segment, witnessed a rise in share price on Friday after the company reported a substantial rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 33.33% to Rs 968.80 million from Rs 726.60 million in the same quarter previous year.

Revenues for the quarter rose 5.21% to Rs 9,713.30 million, compared with Rs 9,232 million for the prior year period.

Operating margin for the quarter stood at 15.84 percent as compared to 13.04 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,538.80 million, compared with Rs 1204 million in the previous year period. 

Shares of Kansai Nerolac Paints are trading at Rs 259.30, up Rs 3.35, or 1.31% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 2:24 p.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 265.00 and low of Rs 254.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 118,402.
