FMCG major ITC witnessed a fall in share price on Thursday after the media reports stated Uttar Pradesh government has decided to ban the sale of loose cigarette sticks in the state. The most populous state contributes 3-4% to ITC's volumes.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 339.15, down Rs 7.15, or 2.06% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 10:45 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 347.00 and low of Rs 338.10. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 148,319.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 4.10% to 7,295,324 compared with 22-day average volume of 7,008,122.
