Eicher Motors, one of the leading players in automobile industry, witnessed a rise in share price on Tuesday after the company has reported a 33% jump in total sales in October 2016 at 59,127 units, as against 44,522 units in the same month last year.
During October 2016, the number of motorcycle units exported, increased by 95% to 748 units from 384 units in October 2015.
Shares of Eicher Motors are trading at Rs 25,180, up Rs 1158.2, or 4.82% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 12:49 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 25,200 and low of Rs 24,200. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 4,753.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 2.37% to 49,988 compared with 22-day average volume of 48,830.
