Bharat Electronics pays Rs 644.1mn dividend to Govt of India

Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics (BEL) has paid a total dividend of 200 per cent to the Government of India for financial Year 2017-18.

M V Gowtama, chairman & managing director of BEL presented the 40 per cent final dividend cheque for Rs 644.1 million for the year 2017-18, payable on the shares held by the President of India to Raksha Mantri SmtNirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi.

The Interim Dividend of 160 per cent (on face value of Re. 1 a equity share) was paid to the Government of India in February 2018.

Shares of the company declined Rs 1.95, or 2.02%, to trade at Rs 94.60. The total volume of shares traded was 57,493 at the BSE (10.02 a.m., Friday).
