AIA Engineering witnessed a fall in share price on Tuesday after the company announced a sharp drop in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 18.86% to Rs 933.50 million from Rs 1,150.43 million  in the same quarter previous year.

Revenues for the quarter declined marginally 4.13% to Rs 4,930.72 million, compared with Rs 5,143.11 million for the prior year period.

Operating margin for the quarter stood at 27.07 percent  as compared to 26.08 percent for the previous year period.  Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 1,334.66 million, compared with Rs 1341.187 million in the previous year period.

Shares of A I A Engineering are trading at Rs 794.55, down Rs 18.05, or 2.22% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 11:27 a.m.

Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 91.82% to 5,665 compared with 22-day average volume of 69,222.
