ACC, one of the leading cement makers, witnessed a rise in share price on Thursday as the company is going to announce its third quarter earnings later in the day.
The company reported a marginal decline in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 6.97% to Rs 2,410.20 million from Rs 2,590.90 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 7.50% to Rs 30,595.40 million, compared with Rs 28,461 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 1,500, up Rs 15.75, or 1.06% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 11:21 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,505.85 and low of Rs 1,489.90. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 14,330.
