DQ Entertainment (DQE), one of the world's leading international producers and distributors of children's animated content, has signed an exclusive indoor theme park deal with CHILIAD PROCONS, an Indian leader in the amusement industry space at the Las Vegas Licensing Show, to open multiple indoor themed parks around DQE's IPs such as the Jungle Book, Peter Pan & Robinhood across the Indian nation.

The first project aka The Jungle Book TV series would be the franchise's first global expansion via India that will debut in Mumbai in 2018, Delhi in 2019 and further expand across major metro cities over the next few years. The Park will have a unique touch to it: its rides would be mostly inspired by The Jungle Book tales and its culture. It's as close as India gets to a Disneyland equivalent.

Manoj Mishra, COO DQE Group commented, ''The theme parks being developed by Chiliad Procons will be an entertainment destination for kids and family to experience the world of their favourite Jungle Book characters. All of the adventure, fun and action kids experience through a screen will now be all around them soon-in breathtakingly realistic Jungle ways. We are excited to partner with Chiliad in this endeavour and expect this theme park agreement to significantly boost our other licensing & merchandising efforts worldwide and anticipate this as a step forward in creating immense opportunities and value to us.''

Tapaas Chakravarti, MD & CEO DQE Group said, ''The Jungle Book has succeeded in creating a large fan following among kids across the world and this new partnership with Chiliad Procons will take Mowgli and his jungle friends come close to kids and family in India through their indoor theme-based parks.''

Shares of the company declined Rs 0, or 0%, to trade at Rs 10.44. The total volume of shares traded was 691 at the BSE (10.26 a.m., Wednesday).
