IL&FS Transportation Networks said that the committee of directors approved the allotment of 1,250 rated, listed, redeemable, non-convertible debentures of the face value of Rs 10,00,000 aggregating to Rs 1.25 billion on a private placement basis.

The company had earlier issued 14,250 debentures of Rs 10,00,000 each aggregating Rs. 14.25 billion.

With the aforesaid allotment, the company has as of date issued and allotted 15,500 debentures of Rs 10,00,000 each aggregating to Rs 15.5 billion.
 
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.7, or 0.9%, to trade at Rs 191.25. The total volume of shares traded was 4,999 at the BSE (3 p.m., Monday).
