Reliance Industries, leading private sector enterprise with businesses in the energy and materials value chain, announced that the company has allotted 4,00,129 equity shares of Rs. 10 each, on Oct. 01, 2015, pursuant to the Employees Stock Option Scheme.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Oct. 05, 2015, rising 2.64% compared with the Sensex's 6.28% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 14.26% as against 4.65% fall in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 9.65, or 1.09%, to settle at Rs 895.90. The total volume of shares traded was 233,928 at the BSE (Tuesday).
