Prism Trust has sold its entire holding of 12.35 million equity shares held in Prism Cement. The company is the beneficiary of the Trust.

The Prism Trust, which was formed in March 2010, was created after the merger of erstwhile H & R Johnson (India) and erstwhile RMC Readymix (India) with the company.

The Trust will realize approximately Rs 880 million, at an average price of about Rs 71.50 a share, the company said.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.25, or 4.61%, to trade at Rs 73.70. The total volume of shares traded was 13,675,785 at the BSE (1.08 p.m., Monday).
