Prism Cement shares climbed on Wednesday after the company swung to a profit for the quarter ended June 2014. During the quarter, the company reported a profit of Rs 132.40 million compared with a loss of Rs 478.70 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter rose 22.47% to Rs 13,887.60 million, compared with Rs 11,340 million for the prior year period.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 71.60, up Rs 1.55, or 2.21% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 11:02 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 73.55 and low of Rs 71.05. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 31,290.
