Tech Mahindra, a provider of digital transformation, consulting and business re-engineering, today collaborated with Transport Systems Catapult (TSC) to develop innovative solutions and business models in the areas of supply chain, freight and logistics and big data and data analytics for the UK Intelligent Mobility market.

The initial focus is on the rail freight market, where there is a real need for mobility solutions with network rail predicating an additional 30% increases in rail freight by 2019 and many existing lines already running at, or near, full capacity.

The aim of the partnership is to develop solutions that improve interoperability aand create efficient and seamless multimodal transports systems spanning roal, rail, aair and sea.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3, or 0.53%, to settle at Rs 567.05. The total volume of shares traded was 499,183 at the BSE (Wednesday).
