Tata Power partners with Cargill & Schneider Electric

Tata Power Company, an integrated power company, announced that the company has partnered with Cargill & Schneider Electric to implement the new technology of natural Ester filled transformers.

The company said, "As another milestone in the company's centenary year celebrations, two of India's first 25 MVA natural Ester filled transformers were recently installed in Mumbai."

These green transformers is one of the company's many green initiatives under its 'Be Green' campaign.

Tata Power has selected Cargill's Envirotemp FR3 fluid & Schneider Electric for its transformers. FR3 fluid provides fire safety, extended transformer life and additional loading capacity with a smaller footprint.

Shares of the company declined Rs 0.25, or 0.36%, to trade at Rs 69.75. The total volume of shares traded was 96,364 at the BSE (2.15 p.m., Tuesday).
