NTPC, the country's largest power producer, announced that the Unit-I of 195 MW of Muzaffarpur thermal power station, stage-II of Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam (a subsidiary company of NTPC) has been commissioned on Mar. 31, 2015.

With this, the total installed capacity of Muzaffarpur thermal power station became 415 MW and the total installed capacity of NTPC group became 44,398 MW.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.55, or 0.37%, to settle at Rs 147.90. The total volume of shares traded was 199,882 at the BSE (Wednesday).
