NHPC disclosed a good increase in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 24.53% to Rs 7,671.70 million from Rs 6,160.30 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined marginally 2.31% to Rs 20,073.90 million, compared with Rs 20,548.50 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 44.58 percent as compared to 46.82 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 8,948.40 million, compared with Rs 9620.3 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 0.69, registering 23.21% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 0.15, or 0.8%, to settle at Rs 18.90. The total volume of shares traded was 717,197 at the BSE (Wednesday).
