Karnataka Bank, the private sector lender, is all set to achieve one more milestone in its growth and development with the launch of its 1000th ATM near the shrine of Goddess Chamundeshwari atop Chamundi Hills in Mysuru, on Mar. 30, 2015. Amarnath R, president of managing committee of Chamundeshwari Temple, Mysuru will inaugurate the ATM in the presence of P Jayarama Bhat, managing director and CEO of the bank.
''ATMs of Karnataka Bank are extremely customer friendly and can be used at ease by customers. Cardholders from all Banks find it very easy to operate our ATMs, which is evident from the fact that the acquirer hits at our ATMs is 60% as against industry average of 40% and it is also a testimony for efficient management of our ATMs,'' said P Jayarama Bhat, MD and CEO of the bank.
''Total uptime of Bank's ATMs is more than 99.5% which ensures seamless ATM services round the clock, hence Out of service/cash out of Karnataka Bank's ATMs is very minimal. Bank has taken all security measures such as 24X7 care taker arrangement, CCTV surveillance, grouting of ATMs, and so on. Thus, the bank ensures safety for cardholders to operate ATMs without any anxiety. During the current financial year 2014-15, the Bank has opened 300 new ATMs to take the tally to 1,000 which is spread across 21 states and two union territories,'' he added.
Shares of the bank gained Rs 2.7, or 2.24%, to trade at Rs 123.35. The total volume of shares traded was 38,400 at the BSE (9.54 a.m., Monday).
