JSW Steel swung to a loss for the quarter ended June 2015. During the quarter, the company reported a loss of Rs 1,063.10 million compared with a profit of Rs 6,564.90 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 12.66% to Rs 115,761.90 million, compared with Rs 132,540.70 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 5.95 percent as compared to 13.70 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 6,887.70 million, compared with Rs 18162.7 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share stood negative at Rs 4.77 compared with Rs 26.82 in same quarter last year.
