Coal India, an Indian state-controlled coal mining company, has achieved 38.83 million tonnes of coal production for June 2015, which is 95% of target production of 40.73 million tonnes. For, Apr - Jun quarter, the company achieved 121.33 million tonnes of coal production, which is 99% of target production of 123.04 million tonnes.
The company and its subsidiaries achieved actual offtake of 42.18 million tonnes in June 2015, which was 97% of the target offtake of 43.45 million tonnes for June 2015. Similarly, for Apr - Jun quarter, the company achieved 129.48 million tonnes of offtake which is 96% of target offtake of 135.35 million tonnes.
Shares of the company declined Rs 2.35, or 0.55%, to trade at Rs 422.75. The total volume of shares traded was 46,532 at the BSE (10.14 a.m., Thursday).
