Carborundum Universal said that the company has allotted 30,296 shares of Re 1 each arising out of the exercise of stock options, granted to the option grantees of the company under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2007 on Nov. 25, 2014.

Post allotment, the number of equity shares outstanding is 187,979,544 and the paid-up equity share capital is Rs 187,979,544.

Shares of the company gained Rs 2.55, or 1.49%, to trade at Rs 174.20. The total volume of shares traded was 3,513 at the BSE (11.20 a.m., Wednesday).
