Britannia Industries, a leading manufacturer of food products, has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chipita, a Greek Company for exploring certain business opportunities.
The company is in advance stage of discussion with Chipita to finalize definitive agreements which includes Joint Venture Agreement. The company will inform once the partnership is established and agreements are signed.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was lower by 58.21% to 69,779 compared with 22-day average volume of 166,977.
Shares of the company declined Rs 24.45, or 0.75%, to trade at Rs 3,229.10. The total volume of shares traded was 3,295 at the BSE (11.41 a.m., Tuesday).
