Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a rise of 8% in sales to 3,31,317units in June compared to 3,05,465 units sold in last year period.
Motorcycle sales increased by 10% from a year ago to 2,87,582 units, while commercial vehicle sales went up 1% over previous year to 43,735 units.
Out of the total sales, exports stood 1,56,074 units in June, up 16% from 1,35,074 units in the same month last year.
Shares of the company gained Rs 48.9, or 1.94%, to trade at Rs 2,572.50. The total volume of shares traded was 11,287 at the BSE (9.43 a.m., Thursday).
