Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a rise of 2% in sales to 3,41,965 units in August compared to 3,36,840 units sold in last year period.
Motorcycle sales increased by 2% from a year ago to 2,90,436 units, while commercial vehicle sales down 2% over previous year to 51,529 units.
Out of the total sales, exports stood 1,81,658 units in August, up 4% from 1,75,127 units in the same month last year.
Shares of the company declined Rs 19.75, or 0.88%, to trade at Rs 2,232.00. The total volume of shares traded was 4,795 at the BSE (9.28 a.m., Wednesday).
