Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 43% in sales in April 2015 to 8,435 units as against 5,897 units sold in the same period of last year. The company experienced a rise of 45% in its M&HCV products segment to 6,549 units in April.
The company's large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 37% to 1,886 units in April.
Shares of Ashok Leyland gained Rs 2.15, or 3.09%, to trade at Rs 71.70. The total volume of shares traded was 768,918 at the BSE (11.33 a.m., Monday).
