Amara Raja Batteries announced a small rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 7.71% to Rs 1,023.40 million from Rs 950.10 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 23.58% to Rs 10,664.50 million, compared with Rs 8,629 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.99, registering 7.73% growth over previous year period.
